Author Topic: Music editor suggestions  (Read 1092 times)

I'm thinking of beginning to make .ogg loops but I need to know a good program that I can cut the sound down with, loop it, AND convert it to .ogg with.
Please post reccomendations with links.

I don't have a link but may I get the song TNT?

Audacity.

Simple program, 1-select, 2-zoom, 3-finely select, 4-cut off unneeded part, 5-zoom out 6-repeat 1 to 5 for the other half of the loop, 7-and play it to test if it goes fine. 8-After that, File -> Export entire project as .OGG. 9-And last but not least - save it wherever, 10-as long as you upload it somewhere or put it in a zip and upload it. (if you want people to just extract to Blockland directory, if you know how to do so.)

10 easy steps to have winning music. Oh, and be sure to keep each music file under 500kb, or users will have a hard time to download.
Follow my instructions and you'll be making fine music like me.

Okay I have a piece of a song, I used the shift+click play to test it with a loop and it sounds flawless in the change but how to I save it with a permanent loop?

Always good to help people, ya know?

Also how do I make it mono and not stereo?

Audacity.

Simple program, 1-split stereo track 2-set both parts to mono 3-select, 4-zoom, 5-finely select, 6-cut off unneeded part, 7-zoom out 8-repeat 3 to 7 for the other half of the loop, 9-and play it to test if it goes fine. 10-After that, File -> Export entire project as .OGG. 11-And last but not least - save it wherever, 12-as long as you upload it somewhere or put it in a zip and upload it. (if you want people to just extract to Blockland directory, if you know how to do so.)

fixed :D

Thanks for that fix, I couldn't get it to mono >.>.

My test track is almost done all I need to know is... How do I decrease the bass, I'm using a Basshunter song so it has quite a lot in it :/.

P.S: Sorry for bump... But it is my topic after all D:

Just a suggestion.  Wave pad sound editor is simpler to use and it makes your tracks mono when you export it.
