Who the hell has the skill to place a brick, click events, and click send twice while someone's chasing you? That just wouldn't work. Basically the only way you'd be able to use an event mine is in impractical instances. Also you forgot "On player touch -> self -> kill brick"

make the brick as an item you have a limited number of that you can throw so stupid noobs don't just throw land mines everywhere.

This would be best as a weapon, because in DM's everyone will know to instinctively avoid landmine bricks. If the landmine was a weapon, strategy would be added to the game. The landmines could explode harmlessly if you shoot it, so you have to place them carefully. Also, caltrops would be nice. Kind of like landmines, but they dont explode and they cant be killed.
