What I know:

SVN mods
Basics of wiremod
basics of placement of stuff + some tool gun stuff
*Thanks E_Net4 for the above

Besides that, what should I know.

If you have CS:S, possibly RealCS weapons?Alot of servers have 'em.And if you are planning on Roleplaying at all, get DarkRP, and any other fun things to use on Garrysmod.org

I watched this when I first played, it taught me the basics of welding, and how some other tools work.

Ignore this.

Gamemodes and Scripted weapons are downloaded automatically from the server. There is no need to download them unless you want to use them in single player, or host a server.

Thanks for the rocket tutorial. I also knew about the downloading thing because that would be a given for any multiplayer game that has a dev. community.

I got Orange Box and Gmod, waiting for the download.

I don't see what's wrong with your voice.

I have no problem with anyone's voice as long as they don't scream so much and they don't talk like a handicap.

You know you can mute people ingame, right?
