Author Topic: Is there a way to host LAN parties?  (Read 1214 times)

I'm not sure where I heard, but is there a way to hold a minigame using only one key, and if so, how?

The copy with the key is able to host Internet and LAN servers.

Demo copies are able to join LAN games, but not Internet games.

Install Blockland on every computer, input your key onto one, install relevant Add-Ons (possibly on every computer to lower downloads), start a LAN server. Have all the demo copies join this.

^That

Dunno if you know this because you seem like you don't, LAN is Local Area Network.

If you have 2-10 computers in the room, get Ventrilo for the best experience. Only if you have a mic. I always use it during LAN parties.

Possible, but are you going to give everyone a 10 brick challenge? Demo's really strict about that 150 brick limit.

Why can't you just talk like a regular person

This removes this limit.

Because, during a DoTA (Just because I play it doesn't mean you flame me.) festival at Anaheim, I was in this room with about 10 people and we all used Ventrilo.

If the host has the full version of the game, everyone who joins will be playing the full version.

people use vent in lan games?

that kinda defeats the purpose of lan don't it?
might as well all go back home lol

We did this in my school's computer lab, I had my key and we installed it on our computers but when they went to join it would kick them out like after 2-3 minutes.
