Author Topic: I want custom firmware/linux on my PSP.  (Read 481 times)

I have a fat (2000?) PSP. I need a magic memory stick and pandora battery from what I've heard.

What else would I need, and why is the pandora battery needed? I heard it was relatively easy to make a magic memory stick, and you could convert it back to normal once you were done with it.

You can also run a real version of Linux on it, because I've seen it, and I am 100% sure it wasn't a crappy portal.

I think the PSP fats are the 1000s, as for the question in itself, though, I wish I knew. I have my brother's old PSP fat laying around, but I can't quite seem to figure out where to get started.

I figured I would just buy a pandora battery off amazon or something.

Cutting the battery open and snipping one of the pins seems taboo to me.

Its not to hard, but if you do it wrong you'll brick it, I use mine for emulation.

Well, looking on amazon, it seems I can get a pandora battery for like 10 bucks.

Opposed to going to any other store, and buying a regular battery to hack, for about double the price.
