Bucket of Lava

This is a random thing that i saw in a show. Guy runs around happy, guy trips on rock, head lands in bucket of lava. But what is you make it look like you throw a grenade but when you let go of mouse button, lava comes out? Is this possible?

He runs and trips and his head lands in it. The doctor also laughed the same guy to death. But I was thinking that it could be a redone sprite of a grenade, when the lava comes out it can be a less acurate version of a Spartan Lazer. When it hits, it burns (Well obviously, it's lava) and it can burn body parts off like a Land Mine. So perhaps this is impossible?
