Hey guys, i jut got my friend into playing Blockland but he has windows vista and I guess the set up is extremely different. So if anyone could suply me with some tips for downloading add-ons and things that would be great.

Set up, getting add ons is the same, i think. Because it's just
Right click on Blockland>properties>Find Target> Drag add ons into addons folder.

i just download to addons?

The only difference between Vista and XP Blockland wise is that on Vista, Blockland is located on the C: drive. On XP, it's located in C:/Program Files/
To install addons, go to C:/Blockland/Addons and install the .zip you downloaded there.

Its the same as it is on XP

On vist, the adons is located on C:/Program files(x86)/Blockland/Addons

You see with normal windows XP and such alls you have to do is download straight to the add-ons file however in Vista that choice of download is not available. Therefore my friends needs to save them to a different folder, take them out of that folder, find the Blockland add-ons folder, open that, and thus drag them into it.

This just is a LOT of work to do if he wants to download a bunch of add-ons....

Tell him to get RTB.

My Guide to playing Blockland on Vista:
-For port forwarding, you have to use IPv4 in the Properties menu when setting up a static IP.
-It's recommended you install Blockland to the very front of your Hard Drive folder (example, install to C:\ ). Vista has special security protocols in it that don't allow users or programs to modify their own files, at least not properly or without permission. You'll either need to enable permission, which is a long maze of buttons and properties, or just put it in C:\ or whichever letter your Hard Drive is. Install RTB2 for more convenience in Add-On downloading.
