Author Topic: forgeted Up Steam Glitch  (Read 1097 times)

Anybody else getting this?
I was making a DM map for TF2, and when I went to test it, it took a forgetlong time to load.
You may be thinking that thats not a big deal but as soon as it DID load it says: "Steam account logged onto elsewhere"
It gives me the option to login with a button. I click it and nothing happens.
I go to my friends list and try to talk to someone about this, and see if anyone else is experiencing it.
Steam loses connection apparently. I think to myself "It's just maintenance right?" and don't mind it.
But now every loving 7 seconds it signs me off saying that it's losing connection. Nobody else on my friends list saw the problem and told me to stop logging in and out.
Now I can't talk on steam or play any steam games.
I don't think I've been phished, but this is forgeted up.
I only use my Steam account on my gaming computer, my regular computer, and on the computers at my Mom's house.
Anyone got a solution because I want to get back to playing TF2.

You should try and change your password, but before doing that you should scan your computer for keyloggers or any other spyware related program. If nothing is found then you proceed and change your password. Now if you do find a keylogger then you should change all your passwords. Now if there were no keyloggers found and you changed your passwords and the problem still occurs then you should contact steam tech support for help.
Hopefully this works.

I don't have a STEAM, I know nothing about it. But it could be a website problem. Or it could be a computer problem. First off, what type of system do you have? Linux? Macintosh? Windows? Be specific.

I don't recall Steam ever working for Linux or Macintosh

Anyways I scanned with Malwarebytes and it found a vundo.
Could that be the keylogger?

Well other than that it found nothing.
Going to change my password and see if any rape occurs
EDIT: Changed my password and I'm back in business now. Hoorah
