Author Topic: Shopping for New video card that can run borderlands  (Read 2101 times)

I have a 3 GHz (originally 2.66) core 2 duo, 650w psu, 4gb of RAM and a 9800GT plus a good mobo. Cost me around $500, maybe?

Is it possible to have money extracted from gift cards?
I have $75 in TOYS R US gift cards I don't want
and a $50 all purpose gift card.

You might be able to sell them to somebody if the selling price is less than what's actually on the gift card.

I got a 9400GT should I get a 9500gt or 9800gt?

Computer: Windows XP professional x64 edition

Intel quad Core I7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz

2.67GHz 5.99GB of RAM

And not for running borderlands, just an upgrade in general

Core i7 2.66 GHz with 6GB of RAM?
9800GT.

You should probably get Windows 7 x64 too.
XP x64 is known to be sort of just shammy.

GeForce 9800 GX2
GeForce 9800 GTX+
GeForce 9800 GTX

Witch one? Sorry that I don't know much about Invidia's Naming system..

GeForce 9800 GX2
GeForce 9800 GTX+
GeForce 9800 GTX
GeForce 9800 GT
Nvidia*

9800 GX2 isn't in production anymore AFAIK, but it was pretty much two 9800GT GPU's in one card.
9800 GTX+ is like the 9800 GT's mutated cousin.
9800 GTX is less powerful than the GTX+ obviously but more powerful than the 9800GT.
9800 GT is just a single GPU regular bad-ass card. It can handle lots.

NVIDIA, THATS WHY ITS ON THE INTRO
