If I download dlc from xbox live and then delete the profile I used to download it do I lose the dlc?

I think as long as you still have it on your hard drive it stays...

..just taking a shot in the dark here

You wouldn't lose the DLC I think. It stays on your harddrive.

If you delete your profile, you'll delete the LIVE account that you used to have and due this you can't redownload anything that you bought but the stuff will stay as long as you don't delete it.

When you download content from the marketplace, it goes straight to your hard drive. It will only be deleted by going to Console settings (On the dashboard)-->Memory
Deleting your profile will make all your save progress for that file get wiped, unless recovered.

When you download the content you cant use it unless you have the account that bought it signed in.
