Didn't bother reading all the replies, but...

just don't get banned. I would much rather have people trying harder not to get banned than getting banned and being able to check if they were unbanned yet.

Sometimes stupid admins do these things for nothing on good servers.

And you want to know when you get unbanned from those servers?
If the host makes bad admin decisions, it's probably a bad server.

We should also get notifications if a ban on you has been lifted.
Example:
1. You've been permabanned
2. The admin changes his mind
3. Your unbanned

Yet, you never have any idea so you don't even bother trying to come back...
This should be not only for permabans but for all bans.

A Ban log? Sounds interesting.

What should happen is, like with the IRC Client, An alert window pops up in the corner once you're banned/unbanned/etc. The log should have the length of the ban/banner/reason/etc.(Obviously). Sounds simple, I like the idea. Hope to see it get made.

Or instead of being a lazy forget you can use your loving brain and:
A. Make this yourself
B. Remember where you got banned from
