I understand that. I said that I did not want to improve myself as an artist as much as I just wanted to draw for fun. That's what he doesn't get, and apparently neither do you.
Keep in mind that you won't be satisfied with your art in the future. Most artists do not want to remember their art as bad.
Look elsewhere for praise. This community is not very kind.
