Find your router http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm and then click Blockland. Follow the tutorial but change the port range to 28000-28032 rather than 28030. If the user and password dont work, ask your parents.

Whenever I mention port forwarding, my dad goes hype about how it will make our internet slow.

What speed internet are you on? Unless you are on a relatively low bandwith and you are hosting a relatively huge server with lots of add-ons/on a high spec game. I doubt it will decrease your internet speed.

Unless I can find that paper. My mother will be gone in 15 minutes so I have the free look of her office. She has the paper somewhere. Or i can trick my dad over the phone. Either one works.
