This is a pretty basic laser projectile-class (not raycast) from around V10, it uses only 1 new particle decal and no meshes, as long as you don't zoom in on it you won't break the "illusion" but I'd recommend getting a nice small 3D mesh of some kind for it if you can.

If anyone wants to use some of its emitters for something cool then shoot, go for it. Just drop my name somewhere and all's good.
