Ii think you should just use the ski script or simply make it mount-able and put a join on a ship some where to make it stay and have a command or button that makes it drop from the moving ship(controlled by AI or player)

vehicle that is supposed to protect you and get you away from danger after you ship crashes, but it can't

move? Sounds like Self Delete.
