Since I can't bump the other topic I'll just make a new one.

This game is quite a bit different from any game I have thus far played. The learning curve is steep, but once you learn how to play, this game is amazing. It is also free.

Allegiance is a free, online, multi-player space simulation game. You pilot spacecraft, flying in a team with other players, defending and attacking sectors in space. Allegiance challenges your tactical ingenuity, your ability to function in a team and your prowess at blowing stuff up.

The training exercises are agreeably boring, and I recommend you skip all of it but the last 2

I used to play this before I played Blockland, but got tired of it after 4 months of playing it because I was looking for a building game.

Game is decent.
I'd suggest sitting through the ingame tutorial before you start playing though.
