I've been building quite seriously recently, and the results were these:

Core Tower DM
A 2 story, small death match.

Features:

-Plasma bridges. 1 of them gets destroyed every 13 seconds and the others revive.
-Radio Tower Antena, a climbing system leads you up to framework, with a sniper rifle atop.
-A long way down, if you fall off one of the plasma bridges, you are most definitely dead.

Magick Inferno TDM
A simple class based team1 vs. team2 deathmatch

Features:
-Classes for each of Amade's element spells
-Shops with items that assist spells, i.e. a switchblade would help darkness, because you could blind the enemy, then go around and stab him.
-2 levels of combat, the trees and the ground
-Lava pits shoot fire up every 13 or so seconds. They also kill on contact

Bases Feature:
-healing pad, 5hp per 3 seconds
-storage chest
-shop
-defense system, 10 second recharge, fires beams of light
-toggleable staircase to get in and out of the 3rd floor.

You can participate in both of these events in a server called: Oromis' You Chose What to Do!, where you get to vote on whether to do the Core DM, Magick TDM, Freebuild, or a Snow Valley Race!
