you got a bad proccess on your cpu
my computer did that until I found a process called MyAgtSvc.exe which took up 120,890 KB of memory
I have only the essential processes running. Again I scanned and nothing was found.
Just get the 4GB now and then when you build your i7/9 rig you have that extra $100 that you would have spent on an extra 4GB to get new DDR3 RAM.

tl'dr: I don't think it's necessary to have 8GB right now.  Cut that in half and you get to start saving early for that new rig :D
Also I'm really thinking of just actually upgrading my cpu and video card :o Maybe 1066 RAM.

EDIT: Upgrade plan:
My motherboard
My power supply

My planned upgrade:
Core 2 Quad 2.83 GHz
MSi GTX275
Uno problemo: I have a mid-tower case and I don't know if the GTX275 is too big or anything (inb4thatswhatshesaid)
Also I don't know if the power supply can handle it, it has three 12V rails at 22, 22 and 25 Amps and 650w of power.
Nevermind.
