I don't know how easy/hard it would be, but I would really like to see a better lighting system being used instead of vertex lighting on bricks.  The current system looks horrible on baseplates and other large bricks.  Also, along with this update, it would be neat to see bump mapping on bricks added.  (And also making the brick texture not light up in the dark.)  Also something really cool, but I doubt is going to happen, is shadows.  Kind of like the new bloxel shots that have those shadows.

I agree. Vertex lighting is simplistic, but it's ugly as forget on larger bricks. I'm not asking for dynamic lighting, but there has got to be a better alternative. Bumpmapping maybe, but definitely that texture improvement.

Fixing model's textures should be a pretty big priority. I don't like my avatar's suit glowing in the dark.
