The only cool thing about open canvas was that you used to be able to connect to other people and draw with them. But then they took that feature out D:

Since version 1.5 I believe you can still get the old version for free since it's freeware now.

i would prefer photoshop because i know way more about it.

Yeah, same here.  Although this looks nice, I've been working in Photoshop for years now, so I'm gonna stick with it. (It's between Photoshop and Illustrator for me, I use both with my tablet)

Open Canvas' paint brush is nice (though I love SAI's default set better). Tomorrow, on Presidents Day, I'll be sure to host a server on it for anyone who wants to join.

You can download the old, free version that has networking here.

I just realized SAI is $60 :(

I'd rather use GIMP/PDN

Eh, I like GIMP for editing and I kinda like PDN's pencil, but they really need to implement brush dynamics, I like more painting characteristics and values than the continual smudge and blur.

What time?

I dislike PDN because of tablet support (or lack thereof) and GIMP requires too much CPU when actually utilizing the tablet support. Photoshop is too expensive, and I don't know if SAI has the features I'd need.

This is why I like Photoshop Elements which is like $45. Tablet support and useful features. It's also less costly than SAI.

Hey Squids are my thing
This looks great Radial

Bump.

I crapped out and didn't host, though I did forward my ports in the event that I wanted to host on the fly.

Well, what features do you need? SAI is not an image editor, it is a digital paint program.

I dislike Element's brush options, they seem lacking in comparison to CS4. Maybe it was just the version that I was using...
