Just because they produce great games doesn't mean you should hate them. It's extremely immature to start fighting against something that will have no immediate effect on your life.
Team Fortress Classic wasn't good, and valve made that.

I play Tf2 about once a week. Its good when you play it occasionally, but it really isn't good enough to have a daily dosage.

Valve ideas are often used because they add creative and gameplay-altering changes to the game, unlike halo which just has generic guns and vehicles.
I disagree about "gameplay". All of the Valve games are just fps(Not saying that they're awful, I think they're great). At least Bungie had tried something different before Halo, it's was called Oni, a Third person shooter, but it heavily focused on hand to hand combat.

What's wrong with Valve? They're one of the best game developers ever, evidenced by listening to the developer commentaries. It's really amazing that amount of thought and work they put into each one of their games.

Cons and pros, everything has them.

I don't talk about valve much.

hand to hand combat.
Valve could use more of this. I loved how they did it in Zeno Clash

The only thing I dislike about Valve is that they don't port their games to the PS3. ;(

They should make a game where you play as a mechanic with a big wrench(for hitting things) who fixes cars and battles the evil robot empire.

Which explains why PS3 has no games.

Because valve hasn't unloaded their stuffloads of games on to it.

Coding is hard and they don't want EA to port it after the last incident with the Orange Box.

The only games I want are L4D and L4D2 on it. The Orange Box is already on it and all the rest is better on a PC.

Leaning towards rachet and clank there a bit.

That was a good game.

Up to the third one. And the third one wasn't even that good.
