Do it. I have yet to have a problem related to Vista.

I have a Pentium Dual Core E5300 Processor (2.6GHz) and 2GB of RAM. Would I run pretty good?

Also, I have some games I really like that are from like 1998/2001, would these run on Vista?

Why do you hate it?
Freezes every loving five minutes for me.
And before someone says "buy a new copy", I already did.

Ever think maybe that's just your computer sucking?

No.
Never
If you already bought it, throw it out the window and shoot it with a 12 guage.
I had vista for 6 months, WORST 6 MONTHS EVER.
I had to "Get" XP Back >.>
I'm currently saving up for 7,
If you got the extra cash, get 7.

But why don't you like it?

Because it's different?

That should be powerful enough for running Vista.
Pretty much every game (from the CD version of Half-Life to Fallout 3) has worked flawlessly on Vista.

Like I said, he probably used it on a Celeron processor with 512 MB of RAM.

I can't shoot it, I don't have a physical copy. It's an upgrade that came partitioned in my computer when I bought it.

I find XP a lot faster.

Just get Vista. It's not gonna eat you alive or anything.
I have Vista and my computer works 99% fine. (The 1% consists of the issues every computer has.)

I'm using Vista on a laptop.

If you have to upgrade anyway, you might as well jump up to Win7.

Read thread plz.

My brother has a laptop with Vista on it, I just asked him if I could try it

It was slow as forget, but that's probably because the specs aren't very good. 2.0GHz dual core with 1GB of ram

Also, who knows if that PC has a virus or something on it. God knows what he downlods on that thing :cookieMonster:
