No, just no. It is fine. This is similar to starting a new "Post what you look like" thread. Its a grab for e-peen and you know it.
Threads don't get noticeably slower as they get longer, so there really is no justification.

Besides, when the old topic is as long as the "Post what you look like" thread, then I may consider it.
