Here's a fun question:

How do you even purchase stock in a company?

you need a brokerage account.
i use etrade

from your account's site you can look up stocks, and buy or sell them.

yeah if your new and is interested, you should make an account soon. takes like 5 days to confirm addresses to activate your account for use, then another week to add and clear a bank account for money transferring.
then another week for money to pend into your brokerage from your bank account.

Tangible commodities like metals are all the rage. My family has operated a metal recycling facility for over 10 years now. Someone in the world will always need metals. Precious metals have uses besides the creation of goods as well.

Damn it takes that long? I'll check it out when I get home.

well confirming an account then transferring money takes while. but i think you can add a credit/debit card and that is faster.
i just use a bank transfer.

yeah i collect gold and silver as well lol.
all my long term cash savings i spent on 1ounce gold bullions

and about once a month i buy about 1,000 more 1gram silver rounds

normal money isnt even useful anymore, anywhere in the world.

Where do you keep your purchases of metals?

my smaller ones i buy often in a safe at home. then larger bullions in a safety deposit box.

also lots of places that smelt and sell bars, they can store any amount you want for free (if your a regular buyer)
they make it and sell it and you hold an account bar balance through them. they keep and store them for you. and can ship to you at any time you want.

How do you go about selling what reserves you have? What do you do if for some reason you need to convert it to some form of paper currency?

I'm just asking a bunch of questions here. I don't know anyone who invests in precious metals so I'm curious.

how much does it cost to invest in shares

Could a juvenile like me do it?

there are brokers and dealers in every city that buy them.
and not that "mailyourgold" infomercial crap.

they follow real time prices (currently gold is 1100.00 ounce, and silver 15.00 ounce)
even many jewery dealers will buy.

you can even have your kilo bar sent and made into ounces or cashed out at the smelt if you want

well they are .046 right now, so 1000 of them would be 46 dollars.
or even just buy 100 for 4.60
(although i plan to buy 100k lol)

and youyr fees for trading on your broker, first time they give like 100 free trades on etrade.
but otherwise its still cheap and unavoidable.

so does that mean i could turn my 50 bucks into 200 or so?

well this is a silver/gold mine with both. so i dont know.
(dont mean its better or worse, just harder to lookup others and compare)

say a standard gold mine established 20 years ago.
their stocks are anywhere from 20.00-250.00 dollars each.
they all started at .046 at one point.

im not saying you can be some simple millionaire, there is some risk and alot of patience. but i just found this one hard to pass up.

Can people outside the US buy stocks from this company? I noticed eTrade was US only.

well maybe not use etrade, but you can buy any stocks anywhere from most brokers.
