It didn't have to wait the entire length of time it had to work with in order to be created.
So you just admitted it took less time than its age, which was implied. Regardless, the probability of life being generated in such an automatic way is so infinitesimally small it is ridiculous to choose over something else.
I will not believe that a crab/dinosaur/plant/bacteria was assembled like a lego build from atoms drifting for only x million/billion years, when we know the universe is expanding, etc.
Why cling on to something at the end rather then just accepting the fact that it's the end?
Because there is no end to matter, and humans find it odd to apply such a thing to consciousness.
