I find that it looks better when you include half bricks aswell as plates and normal bricks. (halfbricks being 2 plates high instead of 3) jus' sayin'

 Even for standard brick walls they look a lot better interlaced than the full height bricks imo. They make pretty decent wooden "planks" aswell; I use'em alot.
