Author Topic: Is this a good computer for BL?  (Read 3606 times)

that will run blockland pretty crapily

That laptop is terrible, even for a laptop.

Save up your money and buy or build a desktop.
This. Buy a real laptop that can actually run things.

Edit: And if I was to buy another lap top, what would you recomend in the price range of 600 or less? I want it to be functional, while being able to run most games smoothly as well.

That's about the best one I could find for $599.

can anyone recomend a good lap top for around 6000 dollars?
I travel a TON and am busy basically all the time. A desktop is just not convenient.

That's a lot better except it has an Intel GMA (integrated) GPU.

It's my grampas old work lap top. Hes only had it 3 months.
He's selling it for 300 bux which is perfect for my budget right now.

Pardon my lack of knowledge but what do you mean by "integrated?"
Ripoff.

Damnit >:( what does that mean?

It's a pretty stuffty computer, but you should be OK for playing Blockland.

Do me a favor and find the motherboard specs of that computer. You could get a GPU on your own and put it in.

I'm thinking something cheap but not too bad, possibly a 9600gt.

Damnit >:( what does that mean?
Integrated video is generally weak, lacks features which most games use, and uses RAM (i think).

Integrated = attached to motherboard and not a card.

Yeah. The Lenovo laptops are more for business. Although they are great, you shouldn't get one and plan to play games on it.
