You can't even legally commit murder. But you did, you murdered the English language.

You can smoke at any age, you just can't buy them until you're 18.

For some reason I still think you can't get away with that.

You can legally smoke at 16 in most states, but you cannot purchase tobacco products until you're 18.
So yeah, just ask your senior friend to buy you tobacco.  Effective law.

but then they're subject to fines for buying an underage person tobacco products, the only way someone under 18 can legally smoke a tobacco product is if they found it lieing around on the street.

I've had a credit card since I was 13.  You can get your drivers license at 16, permit at 15.

I smoke in public all the time, and I've walked in front of a cop car while smoking. Can't do stuff. The only thing they can do is ask where I get them from.

You can smoke at any age, its your right. However, you are prohibited by law from buying cigarettes below the age of 18. Whoever gets caught selling cigarettes to minors can face serious fines and jail time if convicted.

Other than that, the only thing a cop can do is ask you where they got them from and call your parents, which is unlikely.

The government sucks ass at trying to regulate what minors can and can't do. In my opinion, you should be able to drink, smoke, drive, and join the army at the age of 16.

Again, this is for Americans.
