The planet has a better chance of ending on any other regular day rather then a certain date.

This guy doesn't look like a complete idiot, but he is a theoretical scientist. I'm not saying he's completely wrong, but he seems to focus in areas of science that aren't as 'proven' yet (string theory). He might be on to something, but I don't think he's representative of scientists at large.

What you're saying about scientists being paid to lie sounds exactly like the accusations that Nasa is lying about a planet 'nibiru.' You can't just cover something up like that, there are scientists all around the world. As far as I know, most scientists do not support the 2012 doomsday scenario, if you think so, then that's because you're getting your news from the wrong place.

It's no secret that (at least in the US) major news networks contain a few elements of mass public manipulation. No we aren't being completely brainwashed or anything, and it might not even be a big deal, but there are still small elements of it there.

Go ahead. in 2012 run around screaming "AHH ITS TEH END OF TEH WORLD WTF"

And see what happens.

^ you'll give old ladies heart attacks because im naked when i do that.

Uh....

Um. Uh...

I'm sorry, what?

Prize for whoever gets the reference.

Mayans directly called 2012 as "a new age."  Not necessarily meaning the end of the world at all.

See the mayans didn't want to scam us they had their own calender and we misunderstood them. I guess people believed that the end of the old age was the end of the world because people think the mayans knew alot about science and stuff and some1 didn't fofill their calender duties. XD

Michio Kaku is brilliant, but I'm assuming Fox paid him out the ass to say that. Just recently he was on MSNBC saying that nothing would happen in 2012.

 :cookieMonster:

Nothing will happen.
The world is getting older by a few days, big deal :p

Why don't you ever just think that they didn't want to waste their damn lives on a calender so they just said screw it and left it at that date

Isn't Michio Kaku the guy who hosts the show Sci-Fi science?
