Author Topic: (BLS2OBJ) Blockland Save Renders -Image Heavy-  (Read 19394 times)

Release this, it is so awesome D:

You can now get it from my website. I can't link directly to it due to forum rules, it contains a .exe file and you download it at your own risk of me being an absolute wanker and destroying your hard drive.

To add custom bricks to the library just put .blb files in the library folder.

Awww. this doesn't work on mac. :(

How exactly do we find your site?

Edit: Nvm... (Thank you google)

Bump :((((((
I'm planning on making a really cool desktop image idea from a 3d render using a posed minifig and this program, however I need to learn how to pose correctly in c4d first.

Bump. You should make it so it doesn't render the faces that are not in use. Like if I place 2 1x1 bricks next to eachother, the faces in between them should not be converted, since almost any obj you import will lag up your modeling program.

Wonderful job on this. I think that I am going to undertake making an LDraw2Blb parser in the near future.

Also, would you mind making the source code available? Or is that out of the question?

so could you take a 128k landscape and make it a static model?
then use it all as a baseplate for a new build on top, fresh brick count?

Ping pong :D
Yay you got it working.

Nope, I can pm it to you tomorrow. I was actually going to make a bls2ldr converter aswell.

Yes, I plan on adding that, aswell as somehow making it so colours don't need to be generated and fixing transparency and roads.

I'm thinking of making a blockland development kit, with scripting/mapping/modeling documentation, resources, brick modeler (importing and exporting of popular formats), torquescript editer and a project manager with an automatic packager all inside an application. If I were to make it I'd probably charge $1, but its just a concept.
