First off I'm not saying love is bad in any way, I'd just rather have love with someone I love, instead of loosing my virginity to some whore I picked up on the sidewalk, or with someone on the second date.

I think I might want to do this mainly because I'd never want to get a call from my girl friend saying that she was pregnant, or has HIV. If she had HIV I might have to get myself tested or some bullstuff and that would just suck. If she was pregnant I would probably have to drop out of school and find a job, what am I going to do? Abandon my son? This would probably ruin my chance of a good education and job.

I think it's just all around a better plan then going out to get laid every night.

Well, in the case of you getting a girl pregnant, you could opt for adoption, abortion, or denounce having anything to do with the poor bastard because you have no financial stability.  There's  a legal thing that allows you to opt out of the child's life and not have to pay child support, but only in certain circumstances.  Please correct me if I'm wrong.

You can "Decide" to be abstinent.

I'd like to suggest that there isn't any solid connection between practicing abstinence and establishing valuable, long-lasting, relationships.

I might also add that it may lead to future discomfort in social situations and opportunities may be lost.
