Author Topic: RTB Help  (Read 1362 times)

Ok, I don't know if I have posted a topic on the problem yet but here's the lowdown.

Note: If you want, I will make a video showing this.

Note2: I am on a Mac, does this make any difference?

I first downloaded RTB back in 2009, but it sat on my desktop for yonks. When I first decided to use it, I was at my friend's house. It didn't ruin his router, so I don't know if it's a problem with my router.

I left his house and when I got home, I opened Blockland and low and behold, it didn't authenticate. I was stumped. I took it out of my add on folder and tried again, but alas, it didn't authenticate again. I was peeved by then and went into the room with our router, a D-Link DSL-G604T, and turned it off. I waited for 30 seconds and then turned it back on. I went into my room, opened Blockland and... It authenticated! I was happy, but I knew I had to try this again to validate my story even more. I repeated the process many times and replicated the results in all of them.

I decided to let this settle in my mind for a while, which ended up being up till yesterday, when I tried it again, forgetting that it didn't work. It did the same thing.

I now come to you, the Blockland Community, for guidance on how to fix this ever annoying problem.

Things that may have something to do with this problem:

My router: D-Link DSL-G604T Wireless
My computer: Macintosh MacBook Mac OSX Version 10.5.8
Processor: Intel Core Duo 2GHz
Memory: 1GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM
Blockland Version: 14

Thank you for your time.

Are you saying that if you use RTB v3.3 with Blockland v14 you cannot authenticate in Blockland until you remove RTB and reboot your router?

Does your internet still work when Blockland doesn't authenticate?

So RTB crashes your router?

This isn't something I can fix unless you mailed me your router. It seems like a totally nonsensical issue that should never occur.

I want the youtube video of your internet breaking after using RTB in Blockland.

I will make it then... By mailing you my router, do you mean actually mailing the router box?

Just mail the ENITRE router. The thingy that yout cable is plugged into.

What if I need the router? I mean for the internet?

I told you the name of the router, can't you just find the specifications on the interwebs?

Your settings could have been changed in the router to cause this problem. Giving the name of the router doesn't help the situation. Perhaps it could have something to do with the routers firewall and IRC. Crashes when blocked? I dunno.

I was joking, please don't.

I just want to see a video of you opening Blockland with RTB, and then trying to use your browser to go to a website. Maybe open your network connections and check out the status.

This is kind of annoying because a few other people have reported similar things (unless they were you) so it'd be good to figure out what the hell could be causing this.
