Was this a creative idea, or did it suck?

Pretty decent
Rather crappy

The Void!

I know this isn't a good build, but it wasn't exactly meant to be good. The idea of this is to spook the people who are inside the room. It may not be creepy over BL, but I'm sure if this were to somehow happen in reality, people would be crapping themselves.

The purpose of this build is to spook people. You're locked in your bedroom with 2 of your friends, and the only door able to open, is your closet, but it doesn't exactly lead to your closet anymore. Now, it's a vast black nothingness, with a small group of smiling freaks, and creepy noises coming from god knows where. (Actually, it's coming from an invisible music brick....)

For those of you who have the fear of being rick rolled, I have pictures! (But you don't get to hear the freaky sound coming from the void, or the living room door being whacked by a demon.)

Your 2 best friends James, and Maria.

Your closet is now nothing!

The freaky guys who are always outside your door.... Smiling at you....

Wouldn't you do the same thing if you were in this situation?

As is, it's very creative. Well done!

Could you incorporate it into a puzzle horror game? That would make it last longer, and perhaps more enjoyable for people.

Now all you have to do is put it in destruct, lit by a dim lamp.

And get these.

Personally, I think going from a brightly lit room to a black void is more terrifying than going from dark room to dark room. It helps the player to feel disorientated.

True. Then perhaps a brighter lamp. I think only interior lighting would be an improvement, since you can't see the sky, it feels like you're outside or something.

I agree. It does have an "outdoorsy" feel.

I think this build has a lot of potential. I would continue to work on it.

It's in Construct-Black, and I have negative lights created around the smiling guys to make their bodies a little darker. What I did was build a wall with the blackest color possible, and make a room behind it. It blends in with the map, so from the outside, it looks as if the door is floating.

I like it, but how about you add a labrynthine section outside of the room with flickering lights and more creepy night-smilers?

Thank you all for the ideas. I've thought up something for this build thanks to all of you. I'm going to add a labyrinth filled with puzzles, and death traps, and when you get to the end, you get a sort of sacred object that allows you to open the living room door. I have no idea what to do from there though.

It would be awesome to walk out into the black void, when the door shuts behind you and you start to fall...

From how you most likely built it, though, I don't think it would work.
