An 8.8 earthquake struck Coastal Chile last night, and now it's set perfect conditions for tsunamis in the Pacific area. Tsunami warnings have been issued to the state of Hawaii, parts of the American Somoa, and other regions. Discuss.

The 2012 movie was right. D: I need to get green cards.

They expect the first wave to strike at 11:19 AM local time, which is 4:19 PM EST time. They also advise people in Australia to stay away from the coast.

I heard this earthquake released 500 times more energy then the powerful Haiti earthquake and it was felt as far as Argentina.

Not the first time this decade they had an Earthquake. lol

2012 my ass. They've been having earthquakes like this for a long time. It's just now with communication as fast as it is you hear about it more.

It was felt as far as European Russia.

it was felt as far onto the sun

I live in Argentina :o they are telling all this on the news.

It's going to Australia, Japan, Hawaii and Mexico. I live in Buenos Aires and it only felt in some high buildings.

This is why it rocks to live in Australia. You and your silly fault lines.
