Holy stuff you are all really stupid. Did you ever learn what makes earthquakes?
Just because some god damn tectonic plates are moving around and crashing into one another like they have been doing since the Earth began forming, doesn't mean that a god damn chunk of Earth will magically float out of the planet and somehow avert all of Earth's gravity.
2012 is also a myth, as many people have explained. Yes, the poles to change polarity, and yes our magnetic field is protecting us from solar flares/wind, but the chances of a huge solar flare to hit us as our poles change is so slim that the numbers wouldn't make sense to most of the people on the forum.
