Author Topic: Upgrading Graphics  (Read 2098 times)

Yes, finally. My computer came with sucks Intel gma 3100 integrated graphics, which score a 3.4 for graphics. Unfortunately my computer is extremely small, so I need a low profile. So I found this card, 1: is it a good card for gaming? and 2: could you find a better one if not?

I see 20 people don't feel like helping me.

That depends on what games you are going to play, although it should run most new games on medium or higher settings.

You can run TF2 and RE5 on high with the 9500.

I'm really not sure... but i have the next step up from that the 4850 Saphire Toxic.

It can run Crysis on High settings and all... (to give a example of a high end game)

so i'm just going to guess that thats able to run most games pretty well... also depends on your computer specs aswell.

What's your power supply?

Does that 'next step up' have low profile? Linkplz?

And the games I play: The most graphically advanced is probably TF2, possibly L4D2 if i ever get around to getting it.

no come to think of it probably isnt...

umm if you can figure our your power supply that would be good..

Neither of those cards are low profile, it would be imposable to fit either of them in oromis's case.
Didnt know what low profile meant
Figured it meant small or something

To my knowledge, it does mean small, but the low profile cards I've looked at some with extra brackets, for example that sapphire card I posted had 2 extrabrackets

Yeah, I think that would work, it looks like it should fit if it's a thin case.

Thanks for the advice guys, one more question. This guy said he was running the Sapphire on an HP pavilion slimline S5120y, and my model is HP pavilion s5220y. Think it will still fit? I don't really know what these model numbers mean ^~^
