Lol.

only a religious person could believe that random world events mean some huge thing.
learn to coincidence.

and the Mayans never claimed the world would "end" ever. they did claim the world would change. but were not specific on how. so there is no way to know if they are full of stuff or not.
because as we define things; we still will see coincidences everywhere.

I still think gravity is a coincidence. I'll float one day.

I assume they just got bored after filling out their 2012 calender because it was about 300-400 years in advance.

we know what our calendars will look like 400 years from now.
what difference does it make if they actually wrote it all out?

I still think the guy making it expected his family to carry on making the calender after he died, but they just said "forget that."

Fixed.

Wow! The world ended in 2000...no it didn't.
Just for the record...we are still here, so 2010 can't be the end of the world...

I bet whoever made the 2012 thing up is just jealous of the UK having the olympics...

Silly thing to bet on - Oh yay! $20 please - Damn! We're all DEAD

Yea, a win - win/lose situation... 2012 doesn't happen, you get a lot of money. It does, you all die, so you have no need for the money.

technically Y2K issues were real.
except they were all extremely simple fixes that were dealt with.

of course the media had fun with it, and it became a bigger deal then it really was.

The world is not ending

Also when I went to that website Chrome and Avast went postal
