If I set the ambient light to red, the ground will turn cyan, the complete opposite. I don't think this should happen, but sometimes after loading the map a few times I get lucky and it get's lit correctly. Is there an answer for this?

Is it always the exact opposite, or just for red?

What is the natural color of the terrain?

Sounds like an endian error but that really should not be happening if you are running on a normal intel mac. What kind of mac do you have? Are you running the game in any kind of unusual way like with some weird compatibility setting or through a vm?
