I don't think any browser will really overthrow IE for a good long while just for the simple reason that it's the default one that comes on all windows machines.

Firefox got so much press coverage because it's one of the first browsers to actually be good and open source and that's why it's at 25% right now.

I think Chrome kicks ass and deserves to be the number one browser, but maybe that's because it's not very popular right now.

Chrome is fast and has a very nice and simple design. Considering I never customize my browser anyways, how bad or good chrome's customization is is a null point for me.

...Also it has that making a tab into a window thing. Very nice.

Google Chrome, My Opinion: ... But, you cant add any toolbars, or anything special. (But, you can download, you can't exclude that.)

Yes, it was in the beta for a little while but it's in the main release now. If you click the wrench in the top right corner, you should see 'extensions' in the list under 'downloads.'
