Author Topic: Replacing Words  (Read 1997 times)

No, this is not a game. This is an off topic and random question.

What's the best program for replacing words?

Like, if I had a list that looked like this:

Gold Duck
Gold Coin
Gold Star
Gold House
Gold Horse
Gold Ball
Etc.

How would I change gold to, for example, silver?

I'd do it manually, but that would take weeks, so I was wondering if anyone knew a good program that's free that I could use.

Notepad can do that.

Go to>edit>replace>then fill in the boxes on what word you need replaced.

Notepad.

I tried notePad. It crashed.

I've tried 7 times. It freezes after 20 lines or so, and becomes unresponsive.

Post the text file.

Can't.

1) I am on my phone

2) The file size is too large anyways.

As an attachment. -_-
If it crashes Notepad, I have a feeling that its too large for that. I would try to use Notepad++ and see if you get any results there.

It's crashed NotePad, NotePad++, WordPad, and Microsoft Word. :/
