Author Topic: Windows 7 doesnt like like my wireless adapter?  (Read 1059 times)

Yes, Windows 7. I still have XP, though.
I'm currently using my sisters wireless adapter, but I cant use it forever so I need to get this fixed.
So I installed Windows 7. I tried downloading drivers for the adapter, and restarting, but it just doesnt want to use it. And ideas how I can fix this?
When plugging it in, it tries to install drivers but fails.

If it's old enough it might only have drivers that work with xp. If this is the case the solution is to buy a new wireless adapter.

What wireless adapter?  Is it by any chance a linksys one?  Mine was a bitch to install on Windows 7.

Ah yes. It is a linksys.
My sisters is a netgear.
(Mine is a WUSB54G, if it matters.)

Ah, I think I did it by putting the disk in, and finding the hardware in computer properties and using the update driver from there and grabbing the files from the disk.

My sister lost the disk.
Stupid bitch.

There aren't drivers yet.
I bought a new Cisco WUSB600N and it works :D

Bitch should be making you a sammich!

This is completely random, but one time I can home from school, and she was playing GTAIV on the Xbox.

ANYWAY, bad luck with the drivers. Wait for the guys at at linksys to stop making sammiches for their bitches, and then they might make a driver. Those bitches should be making the sammiches, not the other way around! Christ almighty!

Windows 7 has a lot of issues with wireless adapters.  I've successfully installed 1 out of 4.
