Author Topic: Finally found why my textures are messed up, but I don't know how to fix it.. (Read 613 times)

I found out Maplestory installs it's own drivers over the old ones. It ruined my blockland textures. I'm having this problem for some time now, but I don't know how to fix it. Is there a way to restore the old drivers over the new ones? :{

well,did u try going to options,then network,then click some stuff till textures r fixed,or r u having emitter fails(when u cant see paint and fire and stuff like that)

Uninstall the current ones, if you have something like ATI Catalyst Center, uninstall that.
It should work.

Nononononono. We don't want him to destroy his hard drive because he's got no drivers on it!

I'll post this before I post anything else so you see it before it's too late.

Press Windows key + R. Type in 'dxdiag'.
Once loaded, go to the 'Display' tab.
Under 'Manufacturer', note the company that made the video card.
Go to their website (will be either http://www.nvidia.com or http://ati.amd.com depending on the manufacturer) and then go to their drivers section.
Input the model from the 'dxdiag' GUI into their system. Example below:

For nVidia, they will ask for the series. Say if your video card is a nVidia 7900GT, choose the most specific model number from the drop down list. That would be 7 series (7XXX).
For ATi, they will ask for the series as well, but a little differently. Say if your card is an ATi 3650HD, choose the most specific, that would be 3600 series. For both manufacturers, it works like "Match the numbers from the left to the right until you cannot match any further".

Download the drivers. Do NOT install them yet.

Download . Install it and run it. If you've got an ATi card, check 'ATi Display Drivers'. If you've got a nVidia card, check 'nVidia Display Drivers'. Click 'Sweep'. Wait for it to finish and you should be prompted to restart your computer. Save your work and press 'Yes' to restart now.

Once restarted, locate the video drivers you downloaded earlier and double click the installer. Go through the wizard and they will be installed by the end of it. Don't panic if your screen goes blank during the process, that is normal.

Congratulations, you have just updated your drivers.

The download link of the guru3D sweeper is gone. It sends me to a (does not exist) page. :o
