No one can steal usernames, but people can make usernames similar. I close one to mine would be Deathwish, but I was unaware of his existence, and I came up with the Deathwishez with the "z" at the end in fourth grade.

Also, if someone stole my avatar, I'd be like, "Dude, go get laid or something..."

I used that avatar for my alt account I made back when yahoo based emails created accounts that were unable to start polls. My alt account, Kian, I gave an avatar that said Ladios so people would know it was me.

So nick, if someone stole your username on something, what would you do.

Just a side note:  My user name gets used on every website I go on.

My email has about 10,000 versions so deathly similar I have to spell it out for my friends and others in bold lettering.

Avatars are a way to be unique, it can be annoying when you try to pick a unique avatar only to find out somebody is copying you.

Most of the time I look at people's avatars to identify who made the post, not their name.
