Most of them just read the first page. Sure, they could 'bandwagon' with the first post, but in general, I would agree that he shouldn't be bragging about it.

Obviously, he skimmed a few pages and saw the "hate." Therefore, he decided to just go ahead and jump on that without thinking about it, or skimming the rest of the thread for that matter.

However, this is pointless. I'm still going to think that new members are lazy starfishs that follow crowds, until they prove otherwise.
