Author Topic: Laptop keeps overheating? :(  (Read 1384 times)

It's been like this for a month, Everytime I play it, it shutdowns in like 30 minutes, It also burns to touch the sides of it.
I have to use a comfort zone fan to keep it from overheating.
Could this be something with my fans?
Solution?

Did you call the manufacturer?

Nope, right now im just wanting to know if this has happened to anyone else.

Cause it'd be nice to beable to fix it easily

Usually when a laptop is overheating in 30 minutes no matter what you are doing something inside is broken, could be fans, could be your CPU not throttling. If your laptop is just being pushed too hard, like it is old and you are trying to play super games with 5 FPS, it can be kept cool with some simple and obvious tricks: Keep your room cold, buy a house-hold fan and point it at your laptop, and get a laptop fan that your laptop sits on.

Just stick a book under it at the back so it gives more space between the bottom and the desk, that'll usually make things a lot better.

Wait, are you using it on your lap and/or a carpet?

I have it on my lap, on a roomcooling fan thats as big as the laptop, has plenty of space too

Metal laptops heat up fast.

I would send it in, if it's that bad.

If you have Legos, get a 32x32 baseplate and stick some bricks to raise the laptop up on a surface. You are done making your new state of the art cooling system which is not only guaranteed to work, it is stylish.
