How do I fix Old school rifle problem?

I know to zoom in with the Old school rifle, you press your jet button, but when I try to zoom, my tools close. How do I fix it?

Gimme a sec, I give you link. However, that was a suggestion. You might try one of Bushido's L4D2 Tier packs. No rifles except the OSR can scope though. :P
