Does it have to be 925 including the monitor and keyboard and mouse? Also everyone that said in the other thread to get a quad core is handicapped, the i5 is faster than the amd phenom, the only thing that beats an i5 for gaming is an i7, and hardly enough to justify the price difference.

912.99 is the price of the second one.

I saw that ninja edit. So wait, I should change the card?
Also, yes, with monitor and keyboard it's 925.

Your card is definitely what you need to get.

'Kay, thanks.

The system sounded good until I got to the GT 220. Way to ruin a good system IMO. I prefer AMD > Intel.

When I told him to get the card, I meant the one from his self-built comp, the 5770. I prefer Nvidia to ati but ati is always the best bang for the buck, if I was filthy rich and money was no option I would get nvidia.

I always prefer ATi. I really want 2 5970's in crossfire.

In the other topic, he said he wanted to shave money off it wherever possible. He could downgrade to a 4850.
eww, 4850 is like an 8600 hell no, I could save 200 bucks off that without changing the ram, the CPU, or the graphics card easy. First get a Rosewill R220 case, it is only 20 bucks and has lots of fans, $100 case in a budget comp is Self Delete. He only needs 600 or 650 watts PSU he could get one for 35-40 bucks. he can get a $55 mobo no prob. Also the keyboard and mouse are wasted cash. I been gaming forever and I love my $8 dynex keyboards with the hard press keys and the bumpy grip surface, mmmmm, I also been using my logitech G4 forever and I love it.

I talked to him on steam, he said it was fine keep it around $1000.

Visage, you're an idiot, refrain from giving computer advice.  You've been gaming forever on a piece of stuff according to your thread where you asked for advice/a good build.  The Antec 900 is pretty much the perfect gaming mid tower, good airflow, plenty of space, a cool look.  Getting a stuffty PSU is a bad idea, brands like Corsair are known for their reliability and good customer support.  A stuffty PSU has a higher chance of failing under heavy load and with this Corsair PSU I've picked out he won't have to worry about power requirements.  Based on his first post, he wants a nice mouse and keyboard.  I'm using a Saitek Eclipse right now, it's a fantastic keyboard for cool illuminated keys and a low $30 price tag.  A 4850 would smash an 8600 in any game, hell it completely dominates an 8800 GS in almost every game.

you can get a cooler master 650w PSU for 35 bucks, so I dunno what you bitching about. I really don't see why you are flipping out because I cut costs on stuff that would not affect gaming at all. I am basically telling him how to save 200+ bucks for the same exact power. And I dunno where I said I was gaming on a piece of stuff. Also that keyboard is HORRIBLE.

Also you recommended ram that if you look at the reviews, it failed for most people and OCZ is always stuffty ram, I think you just went on newegg and clicked whatever came up first and consider yourself a genius.

Really?  The only 650W Cooler Master PSU I see on Newegg is $89.99.  Saying that cutting back on a PSU will not have any effect on gaming is ridiculous.  I'm running the PSU I put in the wishlist for Daedalus.  It runs quiet, efficient, and hasn't ever reached full load.  And you're also trying to tell me that the keyboard I'm using right now, the one that has a high rating on Newegg, even though you personally have never tried it, is horrible.  I guess I'm really bitching at the fact that you have almost no clue what you're talking about, but are still trying to give advice.
