Author Topic: I'm going to become a member of FES!  (Read 2408 times)

I'm going to send the Flat Earth Society a post card and $6 so I can carry the title of Friend of the Flat Earth Society. I'm pretty excited about this actually, anyone else want in?
The Flat Earth Society Website

You need a postcard from where you live with some information and stuff. If you become a friend you get a pewter(!) medallion and a certificate.

No, I don't actually believe this stuff but it's still fun.

In Veritate Victoria

Also this is not as crazy as hollow Earth theory.

Bro, why would you want to be associated with these nut cases?

Free stuff.

You get the cool certificate and medallion all for the low low price of 6 dollars

But you are also supporting their cause, and showing that you agree, even if you don't. Don't give them more money so they can prove the mostly useless fact that the earth is round, wrong.

I mean why does it even matter?

But I think that they are loving stupid when they say "The earth is moving up at ~XX miles an hour, and that's what causes the illusion of gravity. Oh yeah, also, the Government wants to cover this stuff up to make money, so they spend a bunch of money to cover it up. The bastard Government caused the Haiti earthquake just to prove everything. And to make it worse, they guard the whole end of the world with armored guards, and they don't let you take pictures of it. We don't really understand how all this stuff works, but here is some guesses!"

I mean really?

I'm going to be a Pokemon Master!

The earth infact does have a magnetic core that causes gravity.
Area 51 holds the big weapons that cause all kinds of destruction, yes.
The earthquake in haiti was caused by natural means.
The world is round.
These people are nutcases if they think the opposites of all these facts.

I'm going to be a Pokemon Master!
Owut.

Add a "ces" to the end of FES.

They also believe the sun is a flat disk 3000~ miles up in the sky and uses a spotlight effect to move the light, same with the moon. One of the accepted theories is that the sky is made of gears and they rotate causing the moving star effect, but it's not a main one mind you, just a possible one  :cookieMonster: . They also think that what causes the illusion of curvature is dark matter which causes something called 'bendy light'.

People poke all kinds of holes in their theories but they either ignore them or disprove them using bullstuff, every once in awhile they will make a good point but someone comes by and pokes a hole in that.

The main creators favorite excuse is "Well, it looks flat."

Haha, can you tell I really don't like them?
