That's the plan.
Though it will discrete, as in it will be inside the ship instead of sticking out like a building.
Also, as a bonus, there will be two flight decks, for extra support in fighters. yay.

Here's how the ARES battle fleet will work.

Nova class (argos) - Cannon fodder, small agile ships used for anti-air and ship harassment and as escorts.
Samantha class (Danube)(huehuehue) - Backbone of the fleet. Fills the role of battleship and battlecruiser
Your carrier class - Fighter support
Pearson class (not started) Command ship, armed like a cruiser.
