Do Japanese people obsess over Looney Toons?
They love Star Trek and Gene Roddenberry knew that which is why he added several tributes into the shows and movies for the rabid fans there to enjoy.

So they equally obsess over stuff from here as we do from there.

Also, I heard they're going to put Dragonball Z Kai on Nicktoons in May also.
I really do hope U.K gets it too. :(

Dragonball Z Kai

It's called Dragonball Kai and I've been watching the english sub quite a while now. Almost done with the Freeza Saga.
All I can say is that I preffer the old drawings better then the ones in Kai.

Orite. Website I saw the news on listed it as Dragonball Z Kai.

No.  It's not that americans just appreciate japanese culture, it's that they obsess over it.

I hardly like anime, but the fact disney is broadcasting something like naruto..

What's wrong with having a hobby that you're passionate about? If somebody enjoys something, why the hell does it matter to other people?

That's what I'm trying to figure out my whole life.
Either they are just plain dumb and know nothing about freedom of expression or they just like to make you feel bad for their own amusement. That's what I got by now.
